Life sends us daily problems and difficulties that produce stress and cause your feelings to be low. You find it an effort to just get out of bed and get moving.
When you eventually make it to your daily place of work you may find additional input from people around you that demotivate you and make your life feel even more miserable.
As a believer you are faced with opposition from the enemy, who seems to have lots of helpers who try to make you feel worse.
Perhaps you make it through the week and finally look forward to attending church on Sunday. You hope that there you may find something that will lift you up and give you an injection of power and hope to take you through another week.
And if you have found a church that truly flows in love and has a preacher that preaches a positive message, then at least you are encouraged to push through for another week.
But a week is a long time, and you still face a daily assault against your commitment and desire to serve the Lord.
You may find that you need more than a weekly motivation to keep going. But where are you going to find that?
The World’s Way vs God’s Way
The world has its own counterfeit to the spiritual life. They call it self-help and many speakers who are skilled with words can have an effect on your feelings and help you break out of the feeling of being down. But they do not use use the Word of God or His Spirit to do this.
In the end, instead of helping you break out of the failures that sin brings to your life, they simply teach you how to do things in a different way.
Unfortunately, because we are sinful creatures with a nature prone to sin, we change our habits into ones that are still sinful. And you end up back at square one.
You Need Postive Input Daily
As a believer, surrounded by sin and Satan, you need input every day to help you rise up and break free of the stresses of life. And God has given you two powerful tools to help in this. These tools are the Word of God and the Spirit of God.
So if you want to survive you need to make time daily to get into the Scriptures and take time in prayer.
But the Bible is a huge book that has so much in it that you find it hard to discover the parts you really need. You may read several chapters and not find anything that can help you.
And when you come to prayer, you feel like the Lord is so far away that you can never reach him.
The Real Reason For Ministry
That is why God raises up believers who are able to share with others what God has taught them through study and experience. Someone who has lived a while can help someone who is just starting out.
You could search for some good preaching and teaching online and find a minister who is very good at making the Scriptures easy to understand.
But often a sermon or teaching can last for hours, and you just cannot afford the time to watch or listen that long.
We Want To Offer Some Help
The Lord has raised us up to share with the world the principles He has taught us. And we are hoping to put together something that can help you every day.
To make sure that you can benefit from this, we have decided to put out a Daily Motivation based on the Word of God. It will be a short word of encouragement with some good principles that will not take a big chunk out of your day.
But it might just be what you are looking for to help you every day to overcome the problems you face. We will send this out daily to those who have subscribed to our mailing list. So you can get a fresh word each day in your inbox.
