Sometimes I feel like I cannot see where the Lord is taking me. It’s like I am just blind, walking around in the dark.
If you have ever felt that way, be encouraged because here is what God promised you.
Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way [that] they knew not; I will lead them in paths [that] they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do to them, and not forsake them. [GBMV]
There are 2 things that stand out to me here.
1. He leads you if you feel blind
2. He takes you on a path that you do not know
These are 2 big things that we face in our spiritual lives. When we start out our spiritual life, we are blind. We do not know where He is taking us, and we do not know what the path looks like.
The path looks like it’s going the wrong way. There is no light, and we can only see so far. It’s like when you try to drive a car in thick fog at night. You put on the front lights, but they can only light up a little in front of you.
If you can’t see right now, you only have one choice: follow the sound of His voice. That is like the little light in front of you. But keep following it because it will lead you.
But here is the good news: He says he will light up the path. He will straighten the path. That means you won’t have to always be in the dark. It may be dark for a time, but it will lead to a clear, open road ahead.
I want to encourage you today to keep following the path, and ask the Lord to lead you. He has not forgotten His promise. If you feel blind, He will lead you, one step at a time.
