Don’t you hate it when your feelings let you down?
Well, there is a way to overcome them that you can do right now.

Don’t you hate it when your feelings let you down? You know, we are so reliant on our feelings that it’s very hard for us to do anything when we don’t have a feeling inside. I tried recently to move away from the expressive temperament, which is very reliant on emotion, to a driver temperament that is more work-oriented. The driver doesn’t have to really feel motivated to do a job.
They see a job that needs to get done, and they get in and do it. And I’m trying to move to be that kind of person so I can get more work done even when I don’t feel like it. But I sat down the other day, and I thought, let me try and be a driver, let me sit down and produce a teaching for you people out there, because that’s what I’m here for.
I’m here to minister to you. So I sat down to do a video just like this, and I realized I had nothing inside me. I felt what I could only call a feeling of blah.
I felt flat, and I said, Lord, I’m trying to be a driver here and not rely on my feelings, but I need something more inside. I need feelings that will motivate me to get going and do the work you’ve called me to do. What can I do, Lord? How can I get this? The Lord reminded me of something he taught me a long time ago.
You see, God has placed me in a Joshua role right now. Part of what He told Joshua was that you need to remember and memorize everything Moses taught, and you must do exactly what Moses instructed. Well, my Moses was none other than myself.
Now God’s shifted me from being a Moses to being a Joshua. So the only way I can find out what my Moses taught is to go back and reread and restudy some of the lessons I’ve shared over the years. And one of the things I emphasized early on, especially when training prophets, was the importance of speaking in tongues.
When you speak in tongues, you begin to tap into what God has put in your spirit. And it’s like you drilling down into an underground stream. And once you tap into that underground stream, you create a path for the water to come gushing out.
So I began to pray in tongues and to speak in tongues. And you know, I knew in my mind how this works. I knew the principles.
But quite honestly, the more I prayed in tongues, the less I felt like praying in tongues. I realized that when you begin to pray in tongues, it isn’t such a nice, easy flow. You know, a lot of folks, they just wait until they feel a bit of anointing and they speak in tongues.
But tongues actually is for when you’re feeling the lowest, when you’re feeling down. That’s when you should speak in tongues. So I began to speak in tongues while I was feeling so down, so low.
And it was tough. It was hard work. It was like drilling through solid rock.
But I kept doing it and I kept doing it and I kept doing it. There was nothing else I had to do. And you know, after a while, something happens.
It’s as though you break through into that underground stream. You drill through the rocks and you hit the water that’s inside and it begins to come out and the flow begins and your emotions begin to come to life and you start feeling something positive once again. And so I kept doing it, kept going, kept going.
And eventually not only was I speaking in tongues, but I felt a song rise up in my heart and I felt myself singing and worshipping in the Spirit. Now I’ve taught that God gives us the power that he uses us in. He gives it to us in the form of mantles, which are like a piece of clothing that you put on.
And that mantle has to be activated before it can do anything. And one of the biggest ways of activating a mantle is speaking in tongues and then praise and worship. And so I began by speaking in tongues until I broke through to that underground stream.
The flow began to take place and then the song arose in my heart and I felt like worshipping the Lord. And you know what happened then? Mantles started to become activated. They started to become alive and suddenly I felt myself in a better position to minister his word.
Now you’re going to face this very often that you want to do something for the Lord. You want to minister. You want to accomplish something in your spiritual life, but something’s holding you back.
You feel blocked. You feel that blah inside. And perhaps you think, I need to go somewhere where I can get into a meeting where the anointing is flowing.
But you know, the anointing is in deep inside of you. God has put it deep within you where the Holy Spirit dwells and you can learn to tap into that anointing. You don’t have to go and get an anointing from somebody else.
You can draw it right here from within your own spirit. And speaking in tongues has that power. Now I would like to advise you to give this a try.
Set aside some time, at least say half an hour, preferably up to an hour if you can. And just sit and pray in tongues. Don’t try and reason anything in your mind.
Don’t try and get into a prayer mode of requests. Just speak in tongues. If you have any desire in your heart, let it remain deep inside you in your thoughts while you express yourself to the Lord in tongues.
And time yourself. Start with a fixed period of time, say 10 minutes. Say, I’m going to speak in tongues for 10 minutes.
You may feel like that 10 minutes is about an hour because it’s tough going. But if you will persist, if you will keep doing it, something happens deep inside. You get a breakthrough in your spirit and the flow begins to take place.
And then it becomes easier and everything becomes easier. You start to feel the Lord close to you. And before you know it, you begin to experience some of that anointing that he’s put within you.
And now that you’ve got the anointing, you can do amazing things for the Lord. Any mantles that he’s given you, you can activate and immediately begin to flow in the ministry that those mantles are for. And you’ll be amazed how much you can accomplish for the Lord.
So you don’t have to go somewhere to get infused, to get ignited, you don’t have to go to somebody else and get them to pray for you. It does help, but you don’t have to. You can do it all by yourself right there in your private closet.
Just sit down and seek the face of the Lord and just pray and then begin to worship him in tongues. And before you know it, you may find yourself singing in tongues, making up songs in the spirit. And that brings a bubbling inside of you.
It brings a flow of joy and wonderful feelings. And before you know it, you don’t feel that blow anymore. Instead, you’re feeling on fire, you’re feeling like you’ve got lit and you’re ready to do amazing things for the Lord.
Give it a try. I guarantee you it will work. I know because I’ve proved this many times over and over again.
Don’t sit and moan and go and say, Oh Lord, where are you? Lord, how do I get you? Lord, please, will you anoint me? Lord, where can I go to get some of the anointing? Just stop right there and reach down deep within because he’s there and he’s waiting to pour out his beautiful water. And as that water flows, it’s like having a beautiful drink of a whole glass of nice cold water when you’ve really been feeling thirsty. It’s satisfying deep down into your soul.
