Start Small, Start Right

Have you ever had doubts?

I know, that’s a dumb question, everyone has doubts.

But do you know how doubts start? They start out small. A little thing here or there. A bad experience, or the enemy puts a thought in your mind.

It is like a small seed is planted, and every time you think about it, you water it a little.

But here is something else that can start out small in your mind: The promises of God.

These too can start out small and grow. And you need to keep watering them until they grow bigger than your doubts.

Sometimes you forget what God promised. It’s like it goes in one ear and out the other. When you hear it, your emotions are stirred, and you are excited.

But it fades after a while, and all you can see are doubts.

The word says,

Matthew 13:31 …The kingdom of heaven is similar to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the great among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches of it. [GBMV]

Sometimes all you can see are the doubts. But if you focus instead on His promises, that seed which is so small will grow, until it smothers the bad seeds.

I want to remind you today that it does not matter how small the promise of God is, He will fulfill it.

Keep your eyes set on Him today.
