Matthew 11:28 and 29 says,
Come to me, all [you] that are weary and are weighed down [with care], and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble hearted: and you will discover rest and recreation for your souls. [GBMV]
I had a vision once of some warriors or soldiers. They were all sitting on the ground, and their swords and shields were lying around where they sat. They looked really tired, and I could almost feel their weariness.
Sometimes you may feel rather like the way I described here. Perhaps you are busy running around frantically all over the place. You are trying to do so many things and keep up whatever life has thrown at you.
Perhaps you have had much ministry to do. People seem to constantly be asking you for counsel. That is usually not a problem. But it can get to a point where you start to get spiritually drained and weary because you are pouring out all your resources and getting nothing back.
If you have things to do that keep you busy, that is great. But when you have to push through from morning till night and hardly have a rest, it can get to you. You can run out of resources and fall in a heap on the ground.
Satan is your enemy, and his plan is to try and wear you down. But the Lord never intended you to wear yourself out. If you reach this point, now is the time to recoup for a while. Put down your weapons, or whatever tools you have needed to use, and have a time of rest.
The Lord understands what you are going through. And when you have rested in His presence, He will lift you up and give you the strength that you need each day.
Many blessings to you.
