Sometimes the Lord is waiting for you to let go of your old vision before He can give you the new vision.
We always have an idea of what we want to happen, or how we think things should be. But the Lord always has a bigger vision for you.
This is something we call “Birth, Death, and Resurrection of a Vision”. And it can be one of the hardest things you face. But at the same time, it is actually very easy.
You see, it is all in your hands how you will respond to it. If you have been doing something for a long time. Then when it starts to die, you might hold onto it with all your might.
But when you are willing to let it go and commit it to the Lord, He will very often resurrect it and make it bigger than it was before.
My Dad used to call this “Doing the dance”. You act as Jesus did on the cross. You put your right hand up and your left hand across, and you let go; you commit it to the Lord, you die.
If you are holding onto something today and finding it hard to let go, I want to encourage you because this is a good sign. It means that God has something bigger.
See, God says I do a new thing and when it manifests, you will see it. First, you have to let go of the old. Don’t restrict yourself.
Don’t hold yourself back, but commit what you’re doing now to the Lord. Commit this vision to him and let it go and you’ll see that what he gives you back will be far greater than what you had before.
